I wasn’t quite sure what to expect when I first picked up this book. I hadn’t heard of the author before, but the premise for the book sounded promising. I was in for a wonderful surprise. I really enjoyed this book.
Kevin Villegas has crafted a world that was powerful in its own right. I could easily picture Kirmar, Garion, Wuttenburg, and other places in my minds eye. I love it when I find an author who is able to create a fantasy world that can carry your imagination away to it. And Kevin has definitely done that.
Not only is the world incredible, but Kevin has skillfully created characters that live and breath with every word you read. That is another thing that is equally important to me.
And if you think that is enough, Kevin was able to pull off this massive plot line in a way that I could not pry the book out of my hands. I wanted to continue reading it to find out what was going to happen next.
Kevin Villegas is definitely an author to watch! If you like fantasy novels, you will be in for a treat!!!
