As you may have seen recently, I haven’t been blogging as much. My whole family came down with a case of something or other. Not sure what, but we were all feeling nasty. Coughing! Sneezing! It was horrible.
Thankfully, I had some Chloraseptic waiting in the wings for me to review. I had been sent 3 products to try out and I was just waiting for the right (or is that wrong) time to try them.
The first is actually an old standard in our household. Since I suffer from sore throats frequently, we always have a bottle of the sore throat spray on hand. I was sent the standard menthol flavor. My favorite is the cherry flavored. I just found out that they have a citrus flavored. I will be looking for that one in my stores. Now they even have 2 smaller purse sized sprays. Those will come in handy for the times when I have my sore throats, but can’t stay home. They also have a grape flavor for kids.
The next is the Chloraseptic Sore Throat lozenges. I was sent the honey lemon flavor. I have never been the type to really suck on the lozenges before because all the ones I have always tried were just really nasty tasting. These weren’t that bad. I don’t know why I had never thought to try the Chloraseptic brand lozenges. I guess I figured that they would taste just like all the other lozenges out there. Now don’t get me wrong, there is still that strange taste that throat lozenges have, but just not as overpowering. Besides the honey lemon flavor, they also have cherry, citrus, and green tea with honey.
And since I never bothered to look over by the throat lozenges in a long time, I never realized that Chloraseptic had something for more then just sore throats. They have another product called Chloraseptic Total that is for sore throats, coughs, and cools down the nasal passages. These worked really nicely. I received the sugar free wild cherry flavor to try. They did have a slight mediciney flavor, but they weren’t so bad that I couldn’t suck on them like most lozenges. They also come in a non sugar free wild cherry.
I was just really glad to have these on hand. One nice thing is that they have a pretty long shelf life. So you can watch for the sales and pick some up to keep on hand. You will be happy that you did.
What do you normally use when you and your family get sick?
In conjunction with the Wakela’s World Disclosure Statement, I received a product in order to enable my review. No other compensation has been received. My statements are an honest account of my experience with the brand. The opinions stated here are mine alone.
