My Godson, Ben, was here over the weekend with us. He certainly is a feisty one. I am still recovering!!
I had 2 sample sized boxes of Quaker Oatmeal Squares sitting on the counter. He wanted to eat one of them for breakfast. I wasn’t sure if he was going to like it or not. He is after all a rambunctious 6 year old. We all know how much they love their sugary crazy cereals with tons of goop in it.
So I fixed him up a bowl of the Quaker Oatmeal Squares cereal. He gobbled it down real fast. He said that he liked it. Then ran off to go play in the backyard.
Later, he came in all sweaty and wanted a snack. I was going to give him some fruit that I had been cutting up. Instead, he grabbed the other box of cereal and ate it straight from the box.
Then he went back to playing some more. He came back in for another snack. That boy can pack in the food! But then again, if I were running around as much as he does, then I would be able to eat as much and be that skinny!
He was upset I didn’t have more of that cereal. So when I went grocery shopping later, he told me that I had to get some more. And then he said “you have to buy me some to take home”. I guess he really liked it!
