I don’t know about you, but I am the type of person who has a constantly changing array of apps on my iPhone with just a small core of apps that stay constant. This one was added to that small elite group.
First off, the app is free. I know you are probably wondering why this app stands out above all the other video sharing apps. I would be worried if you weren’t.
The app was extremely easy to set up. After you install it through iTunes, you simply click on the icon and it will ask you to create an account. For the account, all you need is your email address and to choose a password. You can even create the account on their website and then just log in using the app.
With the free version, you get to upload an unlimited amount of videos, but they will only store them for 1 month. However, you can upgrade to premium for either $4.99 per month or $49.99 for the entire year. With the premium version, you will receive unlimited amount of storage for your videos.
One thing that I really loved was that the videos were private. Only people who you have invited to see that video will see it. Most of the video sharing apps that I looked at hosted your videos on youtube. I don’t feel comfortable with that. You see too many people who spend their time trolling that site just to make nasty remarks on videos.
Another great thing is that you can download the video to your computer directly from the KinKast.com website. This is what I had done to use the ink video that I made for Castle Ink’s review post.
The app itself is extremely easy. Basically you open the app like any other. Then click on the red button at the bottom of the app. You will see the video that is being shot on your screen. When you are done shooting, just click on the red button again. Once you have ended it, the video will automatically start to upload.
It really is that simple.
