The other night we went out to each at our favorite Chinese buffet. The food was great as always. My favorite part is the all you can eat Sushi!! Yum!
At the end of dinner, we each cracked open our fortune cookies (didn’t eat mine because of gluten). The fortune I got said “a hunch is creativity trying to tell you something.” This actually got me to thinking. Alot!
A hunch could very well be a double edged sword. If you aren’t a very creative person, then it could be your mind is finally putting the pieces together. Which would actually be very normal. Whereas, if you are like me and are an extremely creative person, hunches could get you into way too much trouble. My mind is always turned on thinking and thinking. It sees all outcomes of situations. Unfortunately, it doesn’t always home in on the correct response to the situations.
For instance, if someone is being quiet, it could mean that they are having a rough day, they have nothing to say, they are pissed at me, a dragon ate out their tongue, etc. Yes I know that dragons don’t really eat out people’s tongues. Its just that my mind looks at every aspect including things far from remotely possible. In this instance, the one that my mind would normally accept as being the most likely to be the real reason is that I pissed the person off. Then my mind starts playing around again trying to think of all the possible things I could have done to piss that person off. And off it goes into its flight of fancy. I never know where it will take me.
So in my case, hunches could be really bad. So just because its trying to tell you something doesn’t mean you should always listen. Sometimes its best to just put your hands over years ears and yell loudly “LA LA LA LA! I DON’T HEAR YOU! LA LA LA LA!”
