I went this morning to have the HIDA scan done. It took a few hours from the time I got to the center to the time that I left. They had difficulty finding a vein on me. Then I had to lay there with my arm straight out to the side (unsupported) for over an hour since they were afraid that if I moved my arm, they might lose the vein. The first injection went fine. Then an hour scan. The second injection got my gallbladder to start spasming. It was pretty painful. I was able to tolerate it though since it was a lot less pain then what I went through last week.
Leslie told me that Dr. S was in the center that I work out of today and that they would be sending my images over there to be read. So I left their center to go over there. I have a CD with the CT scan that was done at the hospital while I was in there. I wanted to bring it to Dr. S so he would have it for comparison, especially since this CT scan had changed from the one I had done on 12/6. I wanted to make sure that he agreed with the results. However, by the time I got over to my center, they had already closed for the day. I knew that they were going to close early, I just didn’t know how early.
Well, I am getting hungry, so I am going to try a little bit of toast. I know that I have been able to keep beef broth down with no problem. Chicken broth seems to upset my stomach though. I think it is more fatty then the beef broth.
