Well, that job with Ken didn’t work out. That totally sucks.
My bil, Steve, told me that one of the places that he works is hiring. So I called there on Thursday. They asked me to come right in for an interview. I went there. It is a bit of a drive, but that is ok. They are really nice there. They had me come back today just to see what it was like on a slow day to see if I wanted to work there. They ended up with no patients today because their tech is in the hospital. I will work Mon-Fri with one Saturday a month. That isn’t bad. They have awesome benefits too!! No more of this uninsured crap. I can finally take care of my health. They have health insurance (they pay 80% of premium!!!), AFLAC, and 401K. This is great. Plus they have places nationwide in case I ever decide to move.
Things are definitely looking up.
I am working on my sister’s website right now. She makes homemade soaps. I have to admit that since I tried one of her bars of soap, I refuse to use store bought stuff. She is now making shower gel as well. Her website is pretty simple in design. Its just basically getting the shopping cart set up and figuring out some of the settings. She is wanting me to have the bar soap at either $4 or 3/$10. I am trying to figure that one out. I can’t see where I would set that up at. So if anyone has any experience with Zen Cart and can shout my way, it would be greatly appreciated. I just love the name of the shopping cart that I chose. It is actually free with her website. If you have a website or are looking for a host, I highly suggest http://www.drak.net. They are the best. It is actually one of the few webhosting companies that is woman owned. Plus they are pagans as well. They are so easy to deal with. I have had 2 web sites hosted there for well over a year now. I had nothing but trouble with my previous provider. I was constantly having issues with my site being down. It hasn’t been down since I switched over. Their prices are extremely affordable too. Plus they have all these cool plug-ins already set up. You just push a button and they are ready to go.
Well, let me get back to the website. I also have to work on my talk a little more for tomorrow. Just some last minute finessing.
