Yesterday, I briefly talked on the phone to Antonio. He was at the hospital. He said he was really sick and they weren’t allowing him to talk on the phone. Unfortunately, Ken had already left work so I couldn’t talk to him. He is a softball coach for his kid’s team. He doesn’t bring his cell phone out to the field with him.
I got a phone call from Flo at quarter to eight this morning. She wanted to let me know that Antonio was taken to the hospital yesterday. I told her that I knew. She was shocked. Everyone thought that Antonio would no longer talk to me since I wasn’t working for Dr. T anymore. Well, they were wrong.
Later today, I spoke with his mom. She said that he was at Florida Medical Center waiting to be transfered to Memorial. I called his brother a little later in the day and found out that he was transferred. He had injured himself about 2 weeks ago on a jet ski. Apparently, the injury was worse then he realized. He injured his spleen. His brother told me that it isn’t as bad as they initially thought. They were worried that they would have to operate. Thankfully, they don’t have to.
I am just glad that he is ok. I was really worried about him. I still am, but his brother said he is going to be fine.
