Well, I went on a job interview today. It is for a position with a workers compensation company doing claims reviews. This would be looking at the claims forms in a whole new light. Instead of looking at them from a medical provider’s standpoint of attempting to get the insurance company to pay, I would bo working as the insurance company looking to see which claims are payable. Talk about switching teams! It looks like a good job with great benefits!! I have to go back next week for a second interview. Hopefully, everything will go great. The woman today was very impressed. She said that I on my data entry test, I had a 99% accuracy rate. She said that very few people are able to achieve that on the timed test. Little does she know its because of all the long hours I spend on the computer. See being a computer geek does have its perks. Plus she tested me on a bunch of software applications and I scored above average on all of them. I would have scored higher however the tests were looking for specific ways to do things. As most people know, there are usually more then one way to do thing in software applications. There is usually a long way, a keyboard shortcut, and an icon in most windows based applications. However the test didn’t specify which option to use. It would just tell you what the outcome was to be. However, it only accept one type of input. So I would have scored much higher if I knew which form it wanted. Oh well! I still scored above average on all of them.
She told me that there are only two people that are being recommended for this position, myself and another lady.
I actually have Diego to thank for this. He is the one that gave me the contact information.
